Karl Zamurs received his Juris Doctor degree from St. John’s University in 1982. He was admitted to practice in the State of New York in May 1983 and In the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York in 1984.
Mr. Zamurs began his career by becoming an associate in the firm of Garcia & Stallone in 1983 and later becoming a partner in 1993, where he remained until joining Kritzer Law Group. Over the course of his career, Mr. Zamurs has handled a wide variety of matters from inception to conclusion. He has obtained favorable verdicts for clients in matters involving dental malpractice, premises liability, legal malpractice, construction accidents, and motor vehicle accidents including favorable verdicts regarding the question of “serious injury”. During the course of his career, Mr. Zamurs has litigated a wide array of issues ranging from indemnification agreements, insurance coverage, Labor law 240(1) and 241 (6), and cases involving “serious injury” in motor vehicle accidents.
In addition, Mr. Zamurs has extensive experience in appellate matters. He has perfected and argued approximately 75 appeals. Among the most notable of his successfully argued appellate cases are; Balladares v. Southgate Owners Corp. involving the issue of common law indemnification in construction accidents and Interstate Cigar v. Dynaire Corp. which involved the use of expert witnesses.
Mr. Zamurs is delighted to continue the work he started at Garcia & Stallone with Kritzer Law Group, finding it a natural progression in his career in insurance defense.
